the palate shows incrediblernconcentration and poise with rich deep cherry, blackberryrnand plum fruits all perfectly integrated with secondary layersrnof licorice, cinnamon and spice.

This wine displays rich fruit, with tarry, dark berry flavours and hints of bittersweet chocolate and tobacco leaf with fine tannins. The palate is smooth and even, with evident yet subtle French oak that supports without dominating. The finish leaves the mouth watering with lingering dark fruit.

Intense ruby with purple highlights. Potent and complex on the nose with spicy notes that mingle with aromas of blackcurrant, smoke, and balsamic nuances. Tastes of cherries, plums, liquorice, and rosemary. Mouth filling and elegant with lots of plumpness and texture. The oak perfectly fused in leaf, wild herbs and ripe fruit.

The AAA on the label pays homage to David's days in the wool trade and was stamped on the best grades of wool by the Guesser. It is a vibrant blend of approximately 62% Shiraz and 38% Grenache from some special little pockets amongst our vineyards. The Shiraz was selected from the ‘Gateway' and ‘Jones Block’ vineyards, renowned for producing some of the best fruit in the region. These select parcels were blended with complimentary Grenache to create a wine that is engaging to a wide range of drinkers. Our blend is fun, appealing and, unlike some members of Paxton, not over the top.
