Deep purple-crimson; a very complex bouquet of blackberry, plum, leather and licorice; the highly structured palate confidently captures all of those aromas, finishing with a balanced display of tannins and oak.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a luminous green tinged outskirts and watery hue. Lifted peach and apricot scents mix with some honeysuckle and subtle cinnamon spice notes. Rich peach, apricot and honeycomb flavours carry a creamy textural feel with some ginger spice lingering in the background.

Very dark ruby red, wide and complex to the nose, fruity, with a prune and cherry jam aroma, with notes of liquorice and cocoa. Very well balanced. Warm and satisfying.
Excellent as an after-dinner wine, or to go with red meat, game, quails and richly flavoured dishes.
Very good with well-aged cheeses, such as parmesan, pecorino and gorgonzola. 

On the palate, it is juicy and elegant, with sharp spiciness and character. Dense, precise tannins that together with great freshness and savouriness animate a palate where sweetness, spice and noble wood toastiness find their place. Closing between black pepper and Madagascar bitter cocoa, sour cherries, tobacco and liquorice.
